Homelessness Week

Homelessness Week 2024 was held from Monday 5 August to Sunday 11 August, under the theme Homelessness Action Now.

During the week homelessness services and community groups raise awareness of the impact of homelessness, and the solutions needed to end homelessness, as well as advocating for change via national and local community events, and social media activities.

The City of Hobart participated in Homelessness Week 2024 with the following event.

Street to Stage

A live on-stage event for local musicians and performers that have had personal experience of homelessness or housing stress.

The event raises awareness, reduces stigma about homelessness and raises funds for Health with Dignity which enables Hobartians in extreme need to access GP appointments for free.
